AMETHYST BEACH

Amethyst began her Doula training in January of 2019 through The Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations in her native town of Seattle. After 15+ years in catering and fine dining, she decided it was time to follow her dream of helping people with the transition into parenthood, something she’s wanted to do from a young age. Her years in customer service and staff management bring a calm and coordinated energy to any situation, and her gentle approach creates an atmosphere of safety for the laboring parent. Amethyst identifies as Queer and Non-Monogamous, and has a desire to assist others in the LGBTQ+ community to navigate their specific challenges in pregnancy and new parenthood. She is certifying with our local organization PALS Doulas, and continues her education with reading and workshops. She is available for daytime and overnight shifts.

REBEKAH GILLEY Waite

Rebekah has been a birth doula since 2015 and a postpartum doula since 2019. She loves working with families as they welcome and adjust to each new little person. Since her childhood, Rebekah has surrounded herself with babies and families, and after several years of helping families through the labor and birth process, it is a natural progression to add postpartum work and spend more time with growing families. As a birth doula, Rebekah works to educate and empower families through their births, and now she also educates and empowers families as they get to know each new baby. Outside of birth work, Rebekah reads fantasy books, devours Pad Thai, and cries over "This Is Us." Rebekah is certified with NAPS Doulas.

Raechel Pendergraft

Raechel found her passion for this tender time of growing families through her work as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Learning first hand the diverse experience families go through to bring their newborn into the world she has insight into the vulnerable mental, emotional and physical states parents are walking into postpartum with. Personally witnessing birth trauma and PTSD occur she sees the powerful purpose behind postpartum support to all members of a family. She aims to help parents remember their strength, power and complete capability to provide lovingly care for all of their children especially their newborn. She is working on certification through DONA International.

All of our doulas adhere to the DONA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics and are either Certified or working towards certification with DONA or NAPS.
